Can you believe it's the end of January already?! That means it's also time for the quarterly bloggy giveaways! I always enjoy checking out new blogs, entering giveaways, and even winning. :)Today, I have two giveaways - 1 Scrapbook Assortment (a few more things will be thrown in) and 1 Cookbook Assortment.
Anyway, here are the rules (you knew there had to be some :)):
1) You have to have a U.S. or APO mailing address (if you live international, you are welcome to enter, I will just need someplace to send it here in the states - I'm sorry to have to limit it).
2) You do not have to be a blogger to enter but please make sure I have a way to contact you!
3) You may only enter once.
4) To enter, you must leave a comment and tell me a hobby you enjoy or a favorite food.
5) Failure to follow the above will unfortunately disqualify you.
6) You can tell me which you would prefer and I will try to honor it, otherwise the first name drawn will get first choice (if no preferences given).
I will close the comments sometime on Saturday and randomly select the winner(s). I will contact the winner (s) via e-mail or blog as well as posting the results here and linking to the giveaway site.

I think my biggest hobby is cross-stitching (although I haven't done it in a while because of my daughter's insistence on "helping"). I also love to scrapbook but don't do it nearly as much as I want. I am hoping to get our old desk set up as a scrapbook station, but first I have to unbury it from the junk in our room! What a fun giveaway. Oh, BTW, I am going to be going through all of my cooking magazines over the next few months. I'll probably send a few your way if I don't tear out a lot!

I love scrapbooking...but I sometimes struggle to actually keep up with it. But I also love to cook...I think cooking is something I do a ton more! I think I would actually say cooking is my favorite thing!

I love the new hobby I am working on right now. It's using your Christmas cards you received to make little ornament gift boxes, that hang on the tree with ribbon. The little gift boxes actually open and are big enough to hold a ring, or charm for a charm bracelet, or another smaller flat type ornament. I will make small clay angels, or snowmen and then paint them and put a crocheted thread through a hole in them, so they too can be hung from a tree. I think they are turning out very well so far. I might even line some of the boxes with felt or velvet soon.

ReplyDeleteI see that you have adopted. It is a thought for us - we lost our little girl tragically a year ago and miss having a little one to love on. We don't want to rush anything though and I'm willing to wait on God to hear whether it is in his plan for us or not.

My favorite food at the moment is meatloaf ("diner meatloaf muffins" with a surprise mozza. cheese center to be exact) because that's what we ha for supper tonight. I'm nto sure I can eat meatloaf any other way since trying that recipe :)

My high school senior daughter has really struck a scrapbooking creative phase, she has already completed some wonderful books of friends and family. She has always been creative so this really doesn't surprise me, what surprises me is that she has stayed completely home a few weekends because she is so tranced in getting one completed.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite food? It would have to be chicken flour enchiladas;
*4 boneless chicken breast boiled till done and shredded
*1 package flour tortillas
*1 large can enchilada sauce or use the dry packette and add tomato sauce/water
*1 jar sliced olives
*1 family size mushroom soup (we are picky on this and only campbell's will do)
*Shredded cheddar cheese (medium)
Shred chicken, add olives and mushroom soup, heat till hot. Dip tortilla into enchilada sauce and put a spoon full of chicken mixture into the center, put on some cheese and wrap. Continue till all done. Top with remaining sauce and cheese. Put in 375 oven till cheese is melted and hot.
YUM!
