Bloggy Giveaway!

**THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED - THANKS FOR ENTERING! 2 NAMES WILL BE DRAWN AND THE WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED!**
It's bloggy giveaway time!!! In honor of my new (trial :)) weekly feature, Keeping Creative Kitchens, and because they are my favorite and I always have to give them away, I'm giving away cookbooks again! For every 100 entries I will add another winner. Each winner will receive a cookbook -- no longer yet to be determined!

You will receive one of these hardcover, beautifully photographed cookbooks: Cooking from the Hip by Cat Cora (Iron Chef America) or Forever Summer by Nigella Lawson (also from the Food Network). I personally would like to own both of these! You will have a choice and I will try to honor it but no guarantees. I hope you will enjoy!

I may or may not have more than two times the amount of cookbooks on that shelf... :) And I may or may not read cookbooks recreationally... :)

Anyway, here are the rules (you knew there had to be some :)):
1) You have to have a U.S. or APO mailing address (if you live international, you are welcome to enter, I will just need someplace to send it here in the states - I'm sorry to have to limit it).
2) You do not have to be a blogger to enter but please make sure I have a way to contact you!
3) You may only enter once.
4) To enter, you must leave a comment and tell me your favorite thing to cook or bake or your favorite cookbook (not website).
5) Failure to follow the above will unfortunately disqualify you.

I will close the comments sometime on Saturday and randomly select the winner(s). I will contact the winner (s) via e-mail or blog as well as posting the results here and linking to the giveaway site.

That's it - HAVE FUN! I love entering all the giveaways and I have even won a few things. My absolute favorite win so far was a Sleepy Wrap baby carrier - so great and I use it all the time! So go join in all the fun at bloggy giveaways!

  3. Well, I'm still learning what I like to cook most in the kitchen, but my husband loves Hawaiian Rice and I like to bake Molasses cookies. And you know I have an interesting selection of cookbooks to peruse.

  4. I think my favorite thing to cook is my homemade pasta sauce. I just love how it takes all day, the smell permeates the house, and it always reminds me of my grandmother (Mom's mom, from Italy, who passed 17 years ago) and my mother who both taught me how to make sauce. I also love to make/bake just about any sweets there can be made!

  5. Hmmm... choosing a FAVORITE recipe is just too hard. My favorite go-to-cookbook is the updated Fanny Farmer's Cookbook. I have the original from 1897 as well, but things like oven temperatures are just too handy to not use! I made a Swedish bread this weekend that was very yummy, from the Fanny Farmer's.

  8. How fun! I just found your blog recently and LOVE it because I love to cook, too!! And I've been known to read cookbooks and Taste of Home magazines recreationally as well!!
My name is Bethany nad I live in the US. I love to bake bread because it's an all day process and I feel like that first warm, buttered slice is the ultimate reward for the work I did:) My favorite cookbooks are the Taste of Home ones. When I got married two years ago I couldn't cook or bake at all (or so I thought). Someone gave us ToH 2006 for our wedding and I was determined to be a better cook than my husband. Our weight gain since the wedding is proof that I accomplished my goal and now I love to cook!!! For Christmas this year I'm putting together a family cookbook for all of the women on both sides. Should be fun!

  156. Hi Alaina! Missed seeing you yesterday down in Franklin. What a fun giveaway idea - I have to admit I read cookbooks and Bon Appetit magazine recreationally :). One favorite cookbook is Williams Sonoma "Savoring Soups & Salads" - it is comprised of soup and salad recipes from 5 different world regions, I think they are North America, Asia, France, Italy and Spain/Portugal (which seems kind of funny). But it's a great cookbook - I made butternut squash soup from it the other day and it was to die for, so delicious.
