Don't you wish you were here? :) I made this pie on Sunday and sadly, it is now gone. I'm sure there will be several more apple pies before the fall is over! Going to the orchard and getting fresh, local apples is one of my favorite things about this time of year. Turning those apples into pie is one of my favorite things to eat around this time of year. So comforting. So delicious.

What orchard do you go to? Can you pick your own there?
Good pictures -- especially the one of the pie. I've got to work harder on better food pics.....
Your pie looks amazing. Simply amazing.
Yummy! I am thinking about planting some fruit tress in my back meadow. What kind of apples do you like best?
Yummy! I doubt I would be able to get a good picture of a pie at our house before there was a piece taken out of it! Yummy.
This pie looks so yummy!!!
If you don't want to go all the way to Andersons ,I found Beasley's by the hospital in Danville to have the same prices. Can't pick your own, though.
Tammy - I gave you the info on facebook.
Gretchen - I like Galas or Jonagolds for all-purpose apples. There is hardly an apple I don't like - maybe only red delicious.
Jenna - Yeah, I took it immediately after it came out of the oven. :)
Monica - I have been to Beasleys but didn't realize the prices were the same - thanks! The boys had a field trip at Andersons so that's why we went there.
How in the world do you make crust so cute?!
Looks delicious. When I lived in Maine a co-worker used to bring me apples. They were very small due to the drought but a great size for our toddler, Marcus.
