Sleepless in Indy...

So, the past few nights, I have been struggling with insomnia. I think it is stress related but I really hate it! I just can't seem to go to sleep before at least 2 a.m. - my mind is going 100 miles even though my body is exhausted. I have always been a person that requires a lot of sleep so this is challenging my whole outlook on life. I'm praying this won't last and that I will rest in the Lord and have His peace.

It must be sympathy insomnia because last night I also tossed and turned (which is very unusual for me. I'm normally a "head-hit-the-pillow and I'm out" kind of girl).
I have always tried making lists if there is something particular that keeps going through my mind. Often times writing it down can help. I also try and reserve a few minutes before bed to sip a cup of warm (decaf) tea and be calm... of course I don't have two toddlers either!

Sorry for the sympathy insomnia. :) Thanks for the ideas - I'm really thinking maybe the tea would help - actually probably the list would, too! I think it's mostly due to being overwhelmed by a current project with a rapidly approaching finish date. Hopefully it will be over soon! How's the moving prep going?

I went through this about six months ago - and the list thing really helped me as well. Just to know all my thoughts were down, did wonderings to allow me to rest. I hope this passes soon for you - I also require alot of sleep, and therfore, I can feel your pain. Heather
