Boys & Their Ideas

I gave the boys the large box to play with while I was assembling the interactive 2-1 learning kitchen for Titus (thanks to after-Christmas toy sales!). I was concentrating on the directions - this project required my handy-dandy flowered screw driver - when all of the sudden I heard the sound of a 100 train pieces being dumped out of the box and down the stairs. I must say it was better than the original idea of sliding down the stairs in the box (yes, I quickly put a stop to that before it could even be started!).

I'm not sure I'll ever understand boys and their dare-devil, destructive, gravity-defying ways but I sure do love them! :) One thing is certain, every day is an adventure!

So true, So true! My husband says the mantra is one should not ask why but why not? ugh. This is Nick to a tee! He has scaled dresser drawers, closet shelves, leapt off an almost 6 foot tree trunk when we were NOT ready....it never ends plus I could go on and on about the things my husband has done as an ADULT! Boys, you are right, you just gotta love'em! ;)

Now, alaina, dare-devil perhaps but definitely not gravity-defying. They did not throw the blocks up the stairs. Destructive? Depends on how many hit the wall!

Just remember, you can use these stories to embarrass your boys when they are older and trying to impress girls. That's what my mom did (although I was trying to impress boys, not girls!)

I was so a "boy" growing up! I will never forget some of the things my brother and I pulled off. . . and the forgiveness my mom showed us. ;-) Some of the things we came up with - I am not so sure we deserved it!

I know what you mean. Our teen and my husband are planning on putting a ping pong ball table on the stairs.

I realize that I'm use to this behavior since I didn't even response. LOL
