What Inspires You?

Besides my amazing family (who, of course, inspire me!), food always sparks creativity and inspiration. The vibrant colors, delicious flavors, endless possibilities... Yesterday I made pork chops w/onions, peppers, and pineapple, cheesy scalloped potatoes, and raspberry cobbler. Earlier this month, I grilled the vegetables below and we enjoyed hamburgers and those gorgeous cherries.

I love it when I have time to wander through the grocery store and allow myself to take in all the ingredients, the fresh produce, the cheese (a rarity, thus I'm not generally a fan of grocery shopping :)). I can't help but occasionally splurge on an item like fresh mozzarella - it begs to be used. I delight in making food that my family and friends enjoy. And I thoroughly enjoy dreaming up new recipes and thinking about new ingredients. So, I think it's fair to say that food inspires me. What inspires you?

Theatre and creative people... I'm in a good field for that, aren't I? I love the challenge of always tackling something new (for me).

Seeing people treat people as they should. Seeing people being the hands and feet of Jesus. that is why I love the ministry my husband and I are involved in so much. It inspires me to do more.

Nature inspires me. Being on a trail where there isn't another person in sight. Watching the snow fall. Sitting by a waterfall. Climbing a tree full of yellow leave. I'm inspired just writing about it:)

The beginning of the school year inspires me. I was a teacher before I quit to stay home with my daughter. A new school year always feels so full of possibility and adventure!

I think craft stores inspire me the most. I love to scrapbook and cross stitch. Whenever I am in Michaels or another similar store I love to just browse all the aisles, looking for possibilities. It's funny because I am not super creative, but I get great ideas when I am in a craft store!

Ideas inspire me. Those half-formed thoughts that have so much potential you just can't wait to see them realized.
