Not A Good First

Yes, that would be my first cavity. As a hygienist, you would think I would always have my cleanings on time...ahem...no. It had been awhile and while my teeth are overall fine, there is just this one small cavity. But seriously, I've never had one filled and while I reassure my patients that it's nothing to be worried about, I'm not usually the patient. I tell you, turning 30 has been hard on me and I don't recommend it. :) Yeah, I'll definitely blame the age...

It has been 10 years since my last cleaning. Guess, I should follow your example, huh? Is it painful having cavities filled?

shame on you Alaina..shame.on.you! :) That is really amazing, 1 cavity in 30 years is awesome! I had to have so much work done on my teeth this past year, it was awful. But did I learn my lesson & go in for my cleaning like I should have...nope. :) Poor Jabari will always have issues with his teeth I'm afraid. Thankfully Gunnar hasn't had any issues yet.

My sister and I both did not get our first cavities until our mid 30's. The filling really wasn't as bad as I thought. I didn't even need meds for the first one it was so little. I totally think it is an age thing but just count your blessings with just one cavity cuz' you gotta lot of other fun stuff waiting for you in your 40's !!! :)

Having been on the patient end, it really is nothing to be worried about.
So glad you and the boys can make it to the wedding :)

Do you remember that I had my first cavity a couple years ago? It was the crevice shape in my tooth, so nothing at fault with my oral hygiene, but still kind of peeved me. :) The filling really wasn't that bad. You'll be fine. And now I'm not the only one of us with a filled cavity! Man, we're we blessed with awesome teeth genes!

I was talking to my husband about your job, as a dental hygienist.
We were wondering how long the schooling is?
Sorry about the cavity.

Way to go! I just read that you might have already found a job. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

A very dear friend of mine who is a hygienist, mom, and fellow prairie-ite reassured me a couple months ago when I had not one, not two, but, er, more than that many, areas in my teeth that needed fixed. She told me I would be fine. And I was. I would not say that the valium I took beforehand wasn't a part of that...
However, if she told me that I would be okay, I am sure I can pass it back, er, I mean ON, to you. :) (Sorry for your cavity. My new dentist told me that some of them are completely unavoidable even if you take care of your teeth perfectly.)
