While I missed getting pictures of our Easter meal, I did remember to pull out the camera and take pictures of the desserts. I liked doing "finger desserts" - it was nice and light for after a big brunch/dinner.

Oh yum!! Carrot cake is a good idea for Easter time -- I hadn't thought of that but will file that idea away!
Girl, we are totally best friends now that we've met in real life. Why wasn't I invited?! :)
Lains these look AMAZING!! I think I might just have drooled....
Oh yummy!
They all look so yummy!
Oh my goodness! They all look delicious!
The boys looked soooo cute in their matching vest sweaters in the post below!
Oh gosh I'm hungry now! Those strawberry cheescake things looked... well... so good I think I can smell them!
You are quite the chef. How do you make your balsamic strawberries? Are you naturally gifted or do you have a good source for recipes and ideas? Hats off to you for a creative holiday menu :)
Katie - anytime, girl. You come right over and I'll whip you up something. :)
Brooke - my sister actually did the strawberries but she used 2 1/2 lbs. strawberries, a little sugar, the vinegar, and some black pepper (I can get more exact amounts if you like).
Cooking and baking are my creative outlet. I love them! While I may some natural (well, probably a lot learned) ability :), I read cookbooks recreationally and use allrecipes.com and foodnetwork.com (the ratings are generally pretty accurate). It's all just very fun for me!
could you make me more of those shortbread cookies... say, tomorrow?:) i really enjoyed those.
Wow! I'm on a sugar overload.
wow, your food preparation and images are fantastic. Did you happen to have the recipe for the lemon cupcakes? I am a huge fan but have have tried with a lemon cream. thank you!
