We had a big talk about where we don't put things and tried to cover all the bases to avoid any confusion. Thankfully it all turned out okay and his nose didn't even bleed - it could have been much worse. I remember at least one brother getting a lego stuck up his nostril and it wasn't pretty. :) I guess we have officially entered a new parenting stage accompanied by many, many things you never thought you would have to say. :) Boys and their ideas!

Oh deeeear... I came over to check when I saw your Facebook status... I'm glad you guys got it out and that it didn't scratch him or anything.
Yep, new stage. Hope he learned from it!!!!!
oh my!! I'm so glad he was ok then. yep...boys & their bright ideas. :)
Always remember, crunch and blow ;) Glad everything was alright, now you can laugh.
Soo glad everything is okay. Can't wait to see the boys. My cell is 847-542-5141 if you need directions or something changes.
Oh Alaina! How lucky that is wasn't worse... and how helpful you're post are to those of us who have not yet entered parenting (I now know that I have to say "Don't stick screws up your nose").
Wow! i'm glad it came out okay!
Oh my gosh, I would have freaked. Sounds like you are calm under pressure. I could just see Hannah doing that. So happy you got it out without a trip to the doc.
Today was my first visit to your blog ... it's a lovely place! I laughed at the story about your son. My daughter did a very similar thing when she was 2 years old. She bit off the corner of a zip lock bag and stuck it up her nose ... then while trying to get it back out, she pushed it further up into her sinus cavity. It took a trip to the emergency room to get that one out!
That story is so funny (only because I know it turned out OK)! I always remember my mother telling this hilarious story of her sister shoving a pearl button up her (the sister's) nose...so far they had to go to the ER to have it removed! Oh my :) It's nice to know what may be coming ahead for us.
