Gardening Season

Today is a BEAUTIFUL day! Gardening is the plan, so we are off the store for plants and seeds and flowers with three little boys in tow. :) They may get a play set today...we'll see. And we desparately need an umbrella for over our outdoor table after our entire table with the umbrella flipped and broke last year. We have the worst luck with umbrellas - a new one just about every year. :)

Anyway, I love the start of gardening season - the smell of the soil, the beauty of the plants, and most of all...the anticipation of delicious produce. Ah, summer. Enjoy your day!

Have a great day gardening. This beautiful weather makes me want to get out and start planting, however right now I have too many busy weekends to get started yet!

What a fun day you have in store. I know what you mean: fresh produce is amazing. Especially when you grow it yourself. I am new to gardening and am now so bummed during the off season since I know produce can taste so much better! What are you growing this year? Be sure to keep us posted on all your yummy creations with that garden!

It is a perfect day to work outside. Did you see the free subscription to Organic Gardening Magazine? It's over at Money Saving Mom blog. I thought of you when I saw it.

Reid and I tilled about half of our garden today... I set my plants that I've been growing inside for the last couple of weeks outside and the wind really was not kind to them! So they're back upstairs for another week or two (at least) until the wind stops. I'm jealous of your ability to start planting now! We have such a short growing season... but I am definitely looking forward to gardening!
