Spring Break Ideas

This is Spring Break from preschool! We are not going anywhere (other than for a post-op in Chicago for Calvin) but I'm trying to plan some fun activities. Any ideas? We went to the Children's Museum today, tomorrow I won't have a car so I need a home activity, Wednesday we are in Chicago and visiting great-grandparents, and Thursday is open. If you have any brilliant (and easy :)) ideas (okay, the don't have to be brilliant :)), let me know!

I know a nice prairie place that's open now and has fun toys that your big boys (and mine) like and pettable animals... I know it's sort of a "stock" idea, but I have boys on Spring Break too...
Of course if you get more interesting ideas I may borrow from your friends, and we can get together any time, especially when it's warmer... :)

My kids love to go swimming at the YMCA or somewhere. We have a great pool nearby. It is fun and it tires them out for a relaxing afternoon. Enjoy your week!

My mom used to have us make "rafts" in the living room with big pillows or blankets... we would have five minutes to run around the house and gather as much fun stuff as we could to "sail away" on our raft... when we got older we would entertain ourselves for increasingly long periods of time on our rafts and my mom made it into a game of who could stay on their raft longer... come to think of it I bet my mom got a lot of stuff done while we were on our rafts! :)

One of my favorite things is to load up the bikes in the back of the van and go to Avon Town Hall. There's a playground in the back where they can plan and hop on their bikes and ride at their leisure.

At home? How about a popcorn and pj party in the middle of the day. (Maybe you could sneak in a nap:)

You have a lot of creative ideas to choose from. I was going to go for the "stock" answer like Jenny. Of course, I'm not a mom, but we do have some really cute babies out there!

Stop by the Fair Oaks Dairy on your way to Grandpa and Grandma's. If you haven't been, they have great and I mean great Ice cream, Cheeses and Starbucks coffee. Enjoy your spring break.
