Welcome Change

Something about fall inspires my creativity in the kitchen. While I have good intentions all year long, something changes once the weather begins to cool. I find myself longing to try new recipes or to create new ones and there are barely enough days in the week for how many menus I want to plan. All of a sudden I want to make 5 course meals and have dinner parties. The spring and summer months of struggling to get meals together and feeling an utter lack of motivation fade away. Perhaps it's something to do with how much I love soups and stews, perhaps it's the enjoyment of staying inside on a chilly night, or perhaps it's a love for all things fall including the seasonal ingredients. Whatever the reason, as the leaves and season change outside, this is a welcome change in my kitchen.

You and my mom would get along fantastically! She is all about soups in the fall. We all enjoy benefitting from them. :-)
