Tomorrow (after Andrew gets off work), we are going away for a few days. We aren't going far but we are going without kids. I'm so excited to have some time to rest and relax together. Andrew's schedule has been awful lately - as in, he is seeing the wee hours of the morning every night either working from home or at work.I'm looking forward to time to re-focus together, make plans, and spend time considering what God desires for our family. Not to mention, we'll probably bring some games and movies and enjoy a few nice meals out. We like to do this once a year - though it doesn't always happen. :) We will be gone until Sunday this time and we are so thankful for willing people to keep the kiddos - they will be staying home with an aunt and uncle.
Our 8th anniversary is on Monday and we are planning to enjoy our celebration time away!

I think it is so important for couples to have uninterrupted time together to reconnect. My hubby and I are way overdue for a weekend away. He also works late into the night, and I am starting to hate laptops/Black Berrys! He can’t ever get away from work. Enjoy your time away!

I am SO HAPPY for you guys (and a little jealous ;). Brad hasn't been keeping those kind of hours, though, so you deserve it more than we do :). Have a wonderful time! Can't wait to hear about it!!!
