Almost Done

Our annual Christmas letter and picture are very nearly done! We are just waiting on a few addresses but the rest are mailed or ready to be delivered! It's a giant thing checked off the list...

But I really love doing it because 1) it's awesome to pause and reflect on the past year, 2) I love receiving cards, pictures, and letters from others (hint, hint :)), 3) it's the only time we keep in touch with some people, and 4) I'm a big fan of snail mail and feel kind of sad that we mostly use e-mail to communicate these days (not that I don't use it all the time and appreciate the convenience and frugality of the web!).

I can't believe how fast this year has flown by - it's been a whirlwind of change at this house! We experienced a lot of firsts and witnessed remarkable growth (physically and otherwise) in our children. It's been a year full of joys, challenges, and triumphs. I know there is one more month in 2007 and I'm not trying to rush it away but rather to savor it with a heart of thankfulness for God's work throughout this year!

I'm glad your hubby or you weren't doing the growing! That's awesome that you got your Christmas letter done!

You're inspiring! I have cards, but no stamps, no letter, and um...we don't actually have a family picture that includes Jack. And he's six months old.

Every year I say I'm going to do cards, and then it doesn't happen. I got the cards I have the year BEFORE we got married. They are beautiful, I enjoy looking at them every time I open my top desk drawer. :)

You go girl! Someday we'll get our Christmas things done, I'm just working on not stressing this year. Hey, we are almost done with shopping, does that count for something?! :)
