2-4

We will be out of our house for 2-4 weeks. They consider it a protein fire even though there were no flames. Not what we hoped for. They will clean everything - walls, ceilings, baseboards, duct work, dishes, cupboards, and all. I guess that's one way to get your deep spring cleaning done - not that I recommend it. :) At the end, our house will be cleaner than it has been in years (since kids).

The news yesterday was tough especially when we initially thought we might be able to clean it ourselves and not even involve insurance. Today, I will be inventoring all of the food to be re-imbursed for everything that is not brand-new sealed from the grocery. Lovely. I cook ALOT and have a well-stocked pantry and cupboards. They keep talking about toxins though and we want no risk of anything.

It's been a difficult several weeks for many reasons but I know it could be so much worse. We are thankful for protection and health (we are all doing better!). God is good.

I'll write more about our Nauryz celebration tonight or tomorrow - for now, I'm just absorbing the news and working to get things in order.

Oh, dang it! :( I'm sorry to hear this - I know it makes for a lot of work, time, inconvenience for you guys. I hope that somehow it ends up being a blessing and that you guys are able to find JOY in the midst!

Bummer! Well, at least, as you said, everybody is ok. I'm surprised the smoke detectors didn't go off. I live how you see the positive in this: spring cleaning courtesy of the insurance company!

Oh man I am sorry to hear that. I know it is hard to be away from home for so long especially with kids. Kids that probably crave that stability. I will be praying for you. But I am sooooo thankful it wasn't worse.

Inventory the food too! Double Ugh. We had to do that when a tornado wiped out our roof and we were without electricity for over a week and everything spoiled. Not a fun task. I hate this happened. ((hugs))

I am so sorry, but I love your positive spin on getting the cleaning done. Hope all goes well and you are back in your clean house soon.

OH NO! I hate to hear that you are dealing with all of this right now, just after getting over being sick. But on the bright side, YOU don't have to clean the house, and you will get all new spices, etc. Stinks that you have to inventory everything, but you are right, the mention of toxins makes me want to get rid of everything.

Oh no! I stay off the internet for a few days and look at what happens. I am so sorry. I have certainly left my stock on over night. If you need anything in the interim, don't hesitate to call!
