Too Big Pippi

Pippi must go on a diet. Yes, she is about 30% overweight at a whopping 13 lbs. 4 oz. She should be about 10 lbs. We knew when she had her little "operation" last year (to avoid this) that weight gain could be a problem. At this point, we will try to use portion control and excercise. The real problem is that she gets fed table food by two little boys - A LOT! We don't even realize it half the time and the other half the time she is eating it off the floor where they have made a mess. She is, of course, the happy recipient of all such offerings.

We are happy to report that our little girl is otherwise healthy at the age of 2 1/2 people years (born 8 days after Calvin) or 14 1/2 dog years. Thankfully, her stint with ring worm last year (while we were in Kaz - thankfully for us - not so much for my sibs who were dog sitting) was not repeated this year. We are glad to have her in our family even though she makes us crazy sometimes! We are especially glad that the boys love her and that she is pretty tolerant of them; she even engages them in play sometimes and sometimes, I think she really, really likes them. She has positively affected their love of all dogs - big, small, short, tall...which is just adorable.

Feel free to check out pictures from last night here!

I bet you're right... I don't think the spaying is what made the weight gain. It's definitely the two constant opportunities that are her "big brothers!"

Awww, she looks like my sister in laws pooch, she is over weight too and ended up with diabetes.

I can't believe you've heard of Quelf! It is an awesome game, worth every penny. There is no end to the joy of watching people humiliate themselves, but then you have to do it, too, so its all equal, lol.
Your boys are probably still too little, but there is a junior version, Flapdoodle, that you can get at Wiggitybang.com.
Good luck!
