The Chances

How is it that I managed to get not one but two bum carts in wally world this morning? What are the odds? I quickly went back and switched out the 1st one and then realized the 2nd one was even worse. It was so bad, that I begged a sales lady to trade me carts back in the craft section. I transferred the boys and our few things out of our cart and moved all of her stuff to the bad cart. I thanked her profusely and went on my way feeling ever so grateful and ever so aware of the benefits of a good shopping cart.

That happened to me in CVS last night - the back wheels of my cart sounded like a couple of hyenas dying in agony. It was super embarrassing, so halfway through the store I actually resorted to carrying the cart by lifting up the back wheels and trying to walk with them.

BTW did you know Kroger carries organic chicken now? I just got some last night, for a decent price (marked down as a manager's special it was a decent price, anyway!)

Oh man, that stinks. I just wanted to comment and say that you must be SuperMom to let your boys ride in the carts with the cars on the front. I let Morgan do that for the first time on Sunday and not only was I fighting with the cart to keep it going in a semi-straight line, but an unexpected problem cropped up when I parked too close to one of the shelves while looking for tea bags and after listening to a few shoppers snicker as they walked past looked down to see my daughter pulling bags of marshmallows off the shelf and putting them on the floor of the car! I can say that I am very thankful this oversight happened at the marshmallows and not near anything packaged in glass. After the trip I was EXHAUSTED! I don't know how you manage with two! :)

I usually get the one that squeaks really loud so everyone in the store turns around to stare at you!

Oh I hate grocery shopping in my town. There are never any carts with the straps for Josh and the wheels are ALWAYS broken. I should probably complain but who has time! :)

I always run into the store thinking I need just a couple of items, then remember more, and end up wishing I had grabbed a cart or I could sprout four more arms to help carry my items!
