It's Dinner Time!

Last week was another bad week for the menu. :( That's just the way of it sometimes. Andrew made it home only 2 times for dinner. I'm going to make a new menu anyway. :) The stir-fry and egg rolls are carried over from last week.

I got a great deal on Gorgonzola Cheese (which I also happen to love!) so I'm going to hopefully develop a pasta sauce with it. If it's successful, I'll post the recipe on my recipe blog.

MONDAY: Lentil Soup, Bread, Fruit Salad
TUESDAY: Chicken & Pea Pod Stir-fry, Brown Rice, Egg Rolls
WEDNESDAY: Leftovers (Andrew will be here with the kiddos)
THURSDAY: Chicken Linguine w/Gorgonzola Sauce, Green Beans
FRIDAY: Pizza, Veggies, Chips or Pretzels, Sliced Fruit
SATURDAY: Tuna Helper (we will be leaving the boys with a sitter :)), Peas, Applesauce
SUNDAY: Oven Stew, Salad, Fruit, Bread or Rolls, White Chocolate Cranberry Bread Pudding

Orgjunkie has many more menu plans - check them out!

Look at you with the #1 spot!!! :)

I'm like you - carrying over LOTS of menu items from last week. Oh well. At least we knew what we were going to have :)... and having the stuff on hand for when the need arises is all that matters. Hope you all are doing well!

I have never actually made anything with gorgonzola cheese, but love it with pasta. I hope your dish turns out.

I love the slow cooking recipes. They look fairly easy, but very good. I am interested in the lentil soup - I found some Chorizo on sale and have lentils a-plenty. Do you think this would work? It's the soft (Mexican) chorizo, not the harder Spanish kind.

Hi Jen, Yes, I do think the chorizo would work and would be delicious!

Do you make your egg rolls from scratch?

Nice! I'm glad you posted the bread pudding recipe. I need to try that ...

Also, I recently made the Tomato Gorgonzola Soup recipe on the All Recipe's site. AMAZING. The best tomato soup either Kevin or I had ever had. The gorgonzola is just a background flavor. Kevin didn't even realize until I told him that it was in there. It added complexity of flavor to the soup without overwhelming it. If you have leftover gorgonzola, I'd really recommend it. :)
