I pretty much love unexpected surprises - even when it's something I forgot was coming (like the yummy chocolate I won from Paula!). Today, on my front porch was a package addressed to me. I wasn't expecting anything but was surprised to see my cousin, Leslie's name & return address. I loaned her some books a couple of months ago and she was returning one of them and tucked inside the package was sea glass from a local beach where she currently resides (it's absolutely beautiful), some onion seeds (come, spring, come!), some goat soap from where she works (smells so good and is so pretty), and a newsy letter! It totally made my day and was completely unexpected!
Our family is very close - there are many of us cousins within a year or two of each other. Leslie and I shared many adventures growing up from fishing to volleyball to tandem bikes to camping. I'm always excited when she comes into town and she has stayed with us a couple of times in the past year. The kids love her and we always have a wonderful time playing games, cooking, catching up, and getting together with other family members. She has inspired me in my life as she has completed personal goals (liking through hiking the AT) and been willing to try all kinds of new experiences. Thanks, Leslie, for giving me a great surprise today!

That is so nice!
What a nice way to start out a new month.
I agree, nothing like a surprise package to brighten up your day. Glad you liked the chocolate!
