It's Hard to Write

We received the call this afternoon that Andrew's grandfather has gone Home. We are saddened and still grieving the loss of his grandmother exactly 3 weeks ago today. We are thankful for his life and so thankful for the time we got to spend with him just 2 1/2 weeks ago.

Please pray for the whole family as they gather again to mourn, to remember, and to rejoice. Andrew will be leaving tomorrow for the funeral. We have decided that the boys and I will remain home this time. We would appreciate prayers for wisdom as we make travel arrangements. It's all a little hard to believe and a little tough to process right now - I'm not sure it has sunk in, yet...

Alaina, Tell Andrew hi and that we will be praying for safe travels for him, and for safety at home for the three of you!

Let us know when he will be coming back through Davenport- maybe we can meet him for dinner or something.

I know its sad for us here. But, I rejoice for Grandpa, he's reunited with his wife now. They are happy together again.

Please convey to Andrew all of our thoughts. Having lost three of my four grandparents I know how hard each of those losses are. Not only are you mourning their loss, but trying to comfort parents and dealing with the mortality of the whole situation. On the bright side (if there is one) he wasn't seperated from his love for very long.

I will be praying for your family for your huge loss. Also, for Andrew's travel and for you being home alone with the boys.
