...it's quiet. All the boys are sleeping and all I hear is the rocking of the swing and the dryer. Calvin and Patrick are home from school today due to nasty coughs and gunky noses. I cancelled several things on my plate to care for them (truthfully, I don't mind not getting out in the cold!). They don't seem too down and out but it's clearly contagious since all three of them seem to have it. I was suspicious yesterday that something was in the works but hoped I was wrong and then they all woke up sneezing and hacking - nice. :)
So for this moment, I'm enjoying the peaceful quietness of sleeping children. There will be plenty of time for play and reading when they awake. For now, the baby needs a bottle and I have two huge baskets of laundry to fold and put away. I really should get back at it.

Got the message from Ty...he's rather chatty today!
Hope you enjoyed your quiet. I, of course, don't have your problem, but I did come home from training today to hear yelling upstairs in the moving out neighbors. Sounded like they were breaking up (yes, I could hear this through the ceiling!).
I have come to cherish those very quiet moments, as they don't happen very often. It is even better if the dog is sleeping too! Glad you had a moment of peace before the boys woke up.
