Quick Food

I have quite openly confessed that I am a cookbook addict. I can't seem to get enough of them. I read them like you would read fiction. And I pour over the pictures. Anyway, I have yet to purchase the book that I mentioned last week (they didn't have it at the store I visited) but nevertheless, I found another book to tell you about in the mean time.

I recently (as in less than a week ago) purchased this book at Half Price Books for $2 (retail is $16.95). I'm impressed. I haven't tried the recipes yet, but they look wonderful! It's divided into method of cooking - grill, pot, pan, wok etc. The recipes look very gourmet but fairly easy and encompass a variety of cuisines. It does occasionally use some unusual ingredients but overall, it looks pretty normal and you could probably substitute something for the less known ingredients. :) Another great feature is that every recipe is accompanied by a picture which I find not only helpful but appetizing and inspirational.

I think it was a $2 well spent; a good cookbook to add to my ever growing collection. I'm looking forward to trying some of the recipes - especially the Asian dishes since that is one of our favorite cuisines. So hurry to Half Price if you want to take advantage of this good deal. They had several copies on tables near the clearance section at the one where my sisters work.
