I don't like Twitter. In fact, I can't stand it. We decided to use it as a way to network for The Cooks Next Door and so we post tweets once or twice a day. But seriously, I don't have time to let everyone know my every move and thought nor do I want them to know. It has been okay for networking but not great - probably because we aren't on it enough. :) And really, I'm okay with that.
I'm sure there are many things to be said for it (and I know lots of people that love it!); I just don't like it. Maybe I don't fully understand it - definitely possible. Anyway, I said I would never join and personally, I don't think I ever will BUT we will stay a part of Twitter for The Cooks (so feel free to follow if you like :)).
Wow, feels good to get that off my chest. :) Any thoughts on the pros and cons of "tweeting"?

Haven't joined because like you, I don't have the time nor the desire to micro blog!
...I have no experience with twitter, and no desire to experience twitter.
Yeah, I don't really understand having it either...especially if you have FB. It does drive me nuts if people who have Twitter bash FB. Hello--FB at least allows you do to a lot more things.
I assume you do know that you can connect your FB and Twitter accounts and just post one status?? For Cooks that might be easier.
I joined twitter about a week ago because I wanted to see if it would help my blog traffic and it's worked well for me so far. I got a TON out of the #savvyblogging chat last week and won a $25 AmEx card from that, I found a designer who does a la carte coding to help me move my blog to self hosted WP for very cheap, and I got a coupon for 3.95/mo hosting which is a lot less than hosting generally is. So twitter has been good to me so far. :) I have put up tweets during naptime or after the kids go to bed which is when I'm on the computer anyway.
The thing I don't like about FB is having to wade through everyone's farmville and quiz junk. But I kind of see FB as being a personal network of people I know, and twitter as being a public network of people I'm trying to connect with beyond my immediate circle. We'll see how it goes.
You want to try a private logbook: loggingit.com ?
See you,
Stephan
There is not a thing that goes on in my day that is worth tweeting about, much less following my every move through brushing my teeth, sitting on my butt and rotating in an office chair, then getting lunch.....you get the point. If I think it's that important, I blog about it! :)
Between my blog, my fulltime job, family and other stuff I don't have time for Twitter.
hahaha!! Yeah, my life is WAY to boring to Tweet about it. :) I signed up but that's all I've done.
