A Break

I'm going to be honest with you all, I'm struggling. It's been an overwhelming few weeks. I'm not even sure what emotions I'm feeling but I know that physically I'm feeling absolutely exhausted. I left for work this morning (we decided I should go ahead and work especially since I had CPR recertification today) and Andrew flew out around 10:30 - he will not be back until Monday afternoon. It's hard to have a weekend without him and know that he will head back to work when he gets home on Monday or on Tuesday and will need to work many hours and late nights. I kind of just want to crawl under the covers and cry.

So, I'm going to take a blog break. I need to spend some time refreshing my spirit and resting. And I need to focus on my boys who need me regardless of how I'm feeling. I'll be back. I'm not sure exactly when, probably next week sometime. And if you think about it, you can pray for this tired, overwhelmed Mom.

Love you Alaina. May your weary soul be refreshed. Maybe a long bath would help too. I am sorry to hear of Andrew's grandfather passing.

*HUGZ* Alaina, you've been through a lot these past few weeks ... so it's completely understandable to feel overwhelmed...I'm praying for you...May His joy be your strength, and may His Peace be your comfort .... and Rest in Him, dear heart. Love you.

You are wise to take some time rest- grief is tiring and life doesn't stop happening. I pray that your next few days with the boys are peaceful. Take care of yourself and we'll be praying.

I know what you mean. Blogging is so fun, but sometimes you just need to step back for a little while. Get some rest, spend some times with the boys, we'll be here when you get back :)

I will be thinking of you often in the next week and praying for you. I understand that end-of-the-rope feeling. I think you are wise to try to give up things and refocus. Blogging is for fun and should never be a chore.

Try to do fun, low-key things with the boys, take lots of bubble baths (preferably with lit candles), and eat lots of ice cream. That's my advice! :)

Can we get you a babysitter for Mom's night out on Monday? It seems that you really need it.

Thanks Jennie! Andrew will actually be flying in that afternoon and said he plans to take the rest of the day off unless something comes up at work. So...I plan to come and leave him in charge of the kids. Yes, I definitely need it. :)

Praying for you here in Michigan. I know how it feels to be overwhelmed, overwrought and just OVER. It's hard to be there for the kids who need us no matter how we feel. Praying that God will breathe new life into your spirit, that you would be joyfully refreshed.

Praying that you get some rest, a good mental health break, and that the boys enjoy their bonus time with Mama! Please give Andrew our sympathies.
