Provision

I would be lying if I didn't admit to sometimes worrying about recovering from adoption and medical expenses. We seek to live a fairly frugal life (although I know there are areas we can improve and we are working on it) but it often feels that life is just expensive. One of our goals is to further trim the budget this next month and while I'm excited to see how well we can do, I know it will be challenging.

How thankful I am for God's provision of our needs through food, inexpensive clothing, medicine samples, and many other ways. And we were so grateful for the extra work for me that allowed us to get away for some much-needed time to reconnect amidst this crazy stage in life. Mostly, I just live in awe at how God cares for us.

*Just as a side note: I am not writing this to elicit frugal tips or to be judged for how we do or do not live frugally - it is merely a reflection of my heart.*

Absolutely Alaina. I don't think it matters where you are on this crazy journey of life (unless perhaps your Donald Trump), life just feels expensive sometimes.

Good luck trimming your budget!

It's funny that I was just thinking the other day about expensive life is. But it was so nice to see you praising God (as you always do) because it reminds us that even in the hard times, God does provide. We just have to open our eyes and see how! I hate having the "budget trimming" talk with my hubby (who is certainly much more frugal than myself) but we will also be having that talk very soon. Good luck with yours!

I hope you haven't been judged in the past. Everyone has their level of Skillful Means. (aka frugal)
