This Week's Menu

Well, last week did not go as planned - I think only 3 out of 6 meals followed the menu. Andrew has been VERY busy at work (not home until nearly midnight a few nights) so the boys and I took it easy on the nights he wasn't home for dinner. I have been forewarned that this week will be no better so the menu will be pretty simple.

I'm putting the chicken curry back on the menu since we didn't get to have it last week and we really wanted it. We used last Friday's main dish yesterday (made-rights, baked sweet potato fries, baked white potato fries, peas, salad, & blueberry/raspberry cobbler w/vanilla icecream) because we ended up having 10 for dinner.

Monday: Leftovers from Sunday
Tuesday: Take-out, Mom & Dad's, or Make-your-own pizza , Veggies & Dip, Apple Slices
Wednesday: Stew in the crock-pot, Salad, Bread
Thursday: Grilled Cheese, Tomato Soup
Friday: Chicken Curry served over sweet potatoes, Salad
Saturday: Spaghetti & Meatballs, Green Beans, Breadsticks
Sunday: Pancakes, Sausage, Yogurt, Fruit

The curry is the only new recipe this week. Maybe next week will be a little easier for family mealtime. :) I really want to try this recipe as well as make this one again from a cooking class I enjoyed awhile ago.

The great thing about menu planning is it allows us the freedom to switch things around and carry over meals from the week before ... we all do it!

Chicken Curry sounds delish!

My DH works nights so I rarely get to eat with him. Extra hours this time of year means weekends for us. The cobbler sounds delish!
